2024 Retirees' Christmas Luncheon - Tickets Sold Out

Our always popular Christmas Luncheon will be held on Dec.7th, 2024 at The Marconi Club
We will have a social time with punch starting at 11:15 am followed by lunch served in the 11:45 to noon time frame followed by a draw for door prizes.

Labour Day Retired Workers Council bring their wisdom to positive change

Cathy Attwood, Rob Cleary, and Peter Kearney, three members from our chapter, took part in the week-long Retired Workers Conference.
Additionally, sixteen of our members took a bus to join Cathy, Rob, and Peter in participating in the annual Labour Day Parade, which enjoyed good weather and a strong turnout.

More than 200 participants gathered in Unifor’s Family Education Centre in Port Elgin, Ont. for this year’s Retired Workers Council from Sept. 1 to 6 to celebrate Labour Day and discuss political issues.

Unifor members at General Motors facilities in Oshawa, St. Catharines and Woodstock have voted by 80.5% in favour of a new three-year collective agreement.

Jim Wilkes retired from the Local 27 Executive after serving for 21 years as the units financial secreatary. A wonderful send off for him was held Saturday, June 24th to celebrate his retirement and aknowledge a lifetime of acheivement.
