Retirees Chapter 2021 - May Update

National Day of Mourning 2021, we remembered the workers who lost their lives in their workplace.

Thirty years since Canadian Labour Council declared the Day a of mourning for workers killed and injured on at work.

Nine years later Canada placed it into Law. Over 100 countries have adopted the same day.

The executive is planning a virtual June meeting for the Chapter

This meeting will be held using Zoom rather than the Google Meet platform as some members were having trouble connecting using Google. I will be sending out an invite with full instructions on the use of the Zoom platform. .

This meeting would be held Wednesday, June 2nd

This would be the last meeting before the summer hiatus, till we meet again in the fall
