Two items relating to our retiree chapter were discussed and voted on in our virtual chapter meeting this morning, April 14th, which was held using Google Meet.

Our chapter webmaster, Rick Eagar, has agreed to fill in as interim Financial Secretary until we can gather again in in-person meetings at the Local 27 hall and hold elections, and secondly, we have decided to postpone the election for positions on the retiree chapter executive, again until we can all meet in-person.

It was proving difficult to arrange and guarantee anonymity with phone-in and electronic voting and going to the hall to vote was deemed not desirable in the interests of personal safety during the pandemic.

Be patient, brothers and sisters, we shall all be able to meet again!
